New Chairman for the British Land Reclamation Society

At the AGM of the British Land Reclamation Society (BLRS) in Corby this week (11th June 2013), Andy Moffat was elected as the new Chair. The BLRS is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary organisation concerned with the reclamation, rehabilitation and restoration of land. It has been in existence in several forms since 1987. At the AGM, Andy identified the importance for the Society to continue to promote best practice in its traditional role associated with land reclamation, but also to demonstrate its relevance to urban regeneration and innovative land-use planning where a thorough understanding of reclamation is still required.
